What uniform is my daughter required to wear?

How can I donate school uniform?
Uniform donations can be dropped off at either the Junior or Senior School receptions, or brought directly to the shop during opening hours. Please ensure items are clean and in good condition - something you would be happy to purchase yourself.

Please note that we do not buy second-hand uniform. All items are accepted on a donation basis, with proceeds supporting the 1887 Bursary Fund and The Annual Fund. You can read more about both funds on our website here.

Where is the Nearly New Uniform Shop?
The shop is located at 21 Kendrick Road, Reading RG1 5DZ, adjacent to the Senior School. Please be aware that there is no on-site parking, but charged parking is available along Kendrick Road.

When is the Nearly New Uniform Shop open?
Opening dates are sent out each term and posted on the school website here.

When can I collect my order?
Orders can be collected from Junior or Senior School reception between 08:00 - 16:00, Monday - Friday.

Please note: The Junior School reception is closed during the holidays. If you select ‘Junior School reception’ as your pick-up location, you will need to wait until the start of term to collect your order. The Senior School reception remains open throughout the holidays (08:00–16:00) and may be a more convenient option.

Please give your order number to the receptionist, you will find this in your email reciept.

How can I request an exchange?
Please email abbeyuniformshop@theabbey.co.uk with your order number (found in your email receipt), stating the item and size you wish to exchange and the item and size you require. We will check availability and email you to confirm if we have it in stock. The replacement item will be left at reception for you to exchange.

If the size you need is unavailable, we will process a refund instead.

We offer a 30-day exchange policy, meaning you have 30 days from receipt of your item to request an exchange. You can read our full returns & exchange policy here.

How can I return an item?
Please email abbeyuniformshop@theabbey.co.uk with your order number (found in your email receipt) and the item(s) you would like to return. Refunds can be processed online, even for purchases made in store.

We have a 14-day return policy for online orders, meaning you must request a return within 14 days of receiving your item. You can read our full returns & exchange policy here.

I need an item, but it is out of stock, what can I do?

If an item you require is unavailable, please email abbeyuniformshop@theabbey.co.uk with the details (including sizes). We will do our best to notify you once it is back in stock.
